Welcome to Liv By Viv – where style, confidence, and joy don’t have an expiration date.
I’m Vivian, an educational psychologist by day and content creator by passion, sharing how women over 40 can show up with style that feels good and looks even better. Whether you’re navigating changing curves, rediscovering your confidence, or just want outfit ideas that actually work—you’re in the right place. Here, we do fashion without the fuss, embrace our era, and never shrink to fit someone else’s mold.

Style, Confidence, and Joy Over 40

Here’s my deal…

I started Liv By Viv as a way to share what I couldn’t find—fashion and lifestyle content that reflected the real me: AfroLatina, midsize, and thriving in my 40s.
I knew there were other women like me who wanted to feel seen and inspired, not excluded by outdated ideas about age or body type. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a community of women who are done dimming their light and are ready to step into their style, unapologetically.

By blending my love of fashion with my background in psychology, I approach style as more than just clothes—it’s about mindset.
When you feel good in what you’re wearing, it radiates. My content focuses on pieces that flatter midsize bodies, tips that simplify getting dressed, and confidence-boosting encouragement because life’s too short for clothes that don’t make you feel like you.

I started blogging in 2016, just after turning 40—a creative spark that felt more like a midlife awakening than a crisis.
What began as a way to document my style turned into a platform for empowering other women to embrace their fullness—body, voice, and all. In 2018, I launched my podcast, “Don’t Mix In”, to create space for independent women to talk about style, identity, and living life on their own terms. By 2020, I leaned into sharing my favorite Amazon Finds , and in 2021, that evolved into hosting the Liv By Viv shopping show on Amazon Live —bringing real style and honest reviews to thousands of women.

In 2022, I began a fitness journey that changed more than just my routine—it changed how I see myself.
Working with a trainer introduced me to weight training and the magic of building muscle. It shifted my mindset, boosted my energy, and helped me feel more at home in my body. Fitness became my anchor—especially during perimenopause—and sparked a consistent morning routine where I make time for movement (hello walking pad!) and put myself first. That daily rhythm has become part of how I stay grounded and feel strong, inside and out.

Behind all of this is a woman who wears many hats—and a lot of hustle.
I built my creative business while working full-time as an educational psychologist, earning my doctoral degree in Educational Leadership in 2020, and showing up for my family as a mom and wife. There were early mornings, late nights, and yes—plenty of coffee. But every step has been worth it to create something that reflects who I am and helps other women do the same.

My podcast, Don’t Mix In, the Women’s Podcast for Life, Style & Substance, has reached over 11.5k downloads and was even featured in a Hulu docuseries and on CNN Español, Pretty cool, right?

My Amazon Live, The Liv By Viv Show, features live curvy style try on hauls! It is live and always good vibes!
