I used to have a velvet blazer years ago that I loved. It was one of those pieces that immediately reminded me of winter. I recently got another one and have already worn it a few times! Wear it Over a Dress
First, over a dress is a easy way to add a bit of texture to an outfit. It also keeps you warm. This dress was from a collaboration with Loft. Also, I added a belted the blazer for just a bit of structure. I have a post on tips for finding the right blazer here.

Next, another super easy combo is with a pair of jeggings and a chambray shirt. Additionally, I like the look of denim on denim against the velvet. I added the scarf for some color (and just because I was really cold).
The Feeling Factor
The Intersection Between Style & Psychology
Chic and put together- The structure of a blazer paired with the luxe feel of velvet gives off a chic vibe. Likewise, this is a classic piece that you will be able to wear year after year.

Splurge vs. Save
Now, I wasn’t really looking for a velvet blazer when I found this one. It’s actually another thrifted find that I scored (this is a good one, I know). I linked similar ones at different price points. However, I think you need to consider number of wears and quality with respect to the price. Plus, pay attention to the fit. A blazer that fits will be one that you will reach for over and over again.
