As we head into spring, having pieces that can be worn in different ways becomes key. We got the unpredictable weather of the tail end of winter and the burst of colors popping up in stores. I partnered up with London Times for this post. I decided to play a bit with color to style this blue dress three ways!
Wearing Blue
First, let’s talk about the color blue for a minute. I like wearing it since I can combine it with a variety of colors. That makes for a palette for every season which you know that I am into! Besides, black and white , I have a range of blue pieces in my closet. Also, blue is known to have a calming effect. It soothes and relaxes.

Three Ways to Style This Dress
In addition to the color, I am loving that this dress is a classic, but with a twist. There is subtle ruching at the waist to create a a nice silhouette.
Alright, let’s get into how I styled it three ways:
1. Keep it Neutral.
I think the neutral pieces compliment without competing with the blue. The purse adds some texture. Change the purse out for your basic handbag and this can be worn for work.
2. Brighten It Up.
Spring and summer tones make the perfect contrast with this blue dress. I think exploring different color combos keeps things visually interesting! I’m thinking that this would be perfect for those weekend outdoor events.
3. Make it Monochromatic.
Vary the tones of blue for a unique look. Going monochromatic was something new for me. The beret adds a bit of whimsy to this dress. I would wear this on the weekend for some lunch with my sister.
