How to Nail Jeans and a Cute Top Every Time

“What are you going wear tonight?” is what my boyfriend (now husband) asked. It was around 2007 and boot cut jeans were in heavy rotation. My answer “jeans and a cute top”. This was my answer almost every time! Jeans bring a casual vibe to any look. For example, that means I can wear a dressy top of any kind and not look over dressed. Likewise, the other reason I liked this combo was because I knew I would feel comfortable. Works for me!

As the years went on, date nights were rare, and things didn’t fit anymore. As a result, the cute tops slowly disappeared from my closet. It wasn’t until last year, after about 7 years, that I started to wear this pairing again. It is still as easy to wear as before. Just find the right size in jeans and tops and done!

Find Jeans You Like

This is key! Also, it is a headache to find a pair that works if you have curves. Trust me, I understand!! It took me several tries until I found a pair I liked. A high waisted style usually works for those of us with curves. So, opt for a higher rise pair. Additionally, look for jeans with lot of stretch.
