Cherry Red can be intimidating since it’s such a vibrant color. It can also be the perfect match for contrasting textures. I got a couple ideas on how to wear this color.

“You might typically use a red piece to be your accent piece for an outfit or you might let the hue take over as the hero of your outfit, but it doesn’t have to be the standalone color in your look.“

It’s hard when I see something red at the store. I usually want to buy it! However, there are some reds that I’m drawn to more than others. I would say Cherry Red is one of them!

The Feeling Factor
The Intersection Between Style & Psychology
You need to be in the mood to wear red. Wearing red can trigger strong emotions and energy. I’ve talked about wearing red before in a previous post. So, this isn’t the color you if you’re not in the mood to stand out and be seen. According to Very Well Mind red is vibrant and intense. It is also associated with power!

Here are a couple ways I styled this midi dress:
With a Tweed Swing Jacket

This tweed jacket was actually a thrifted find. I’d been thinking of what to wear it with – and then I saw this dress. First, I love how the grey contrasts against the red. Then, the tweed adds visual interest layered over the smooth midi dress.

With a Trench Coat

Next, I feel like a trench coat is almost always the perfect layer for a dress. In this case, the length of this dress works with the trench. Additionally, the neutral tone of the trench anchors the vibrant cherry red.
