Just like the Off the Shoulder trend, I was not sure if I could pull of a sleeveless romper. Turns out that I just needed to right style.

And, that’s what we are Mixing Up in this post.

Old Navy has been knocking it out of the park for me this summer. Besides cute dresses, they have had some rompers like this one. Had to buy two of them!

What I like about this one is how it has a drawstring to give it shape. At the same time, it is roomy. So I can move.

I went with a size Large for this romper. I wear a XL or Large depending on the cut of an item. This sells for $36 and you can get it here . The black and white print can be found here and is on sale online for $24.

Another plus for me is the pockets! I have a thing with pockets. Just love them. I also like the high neckline and that it is a drapey rayon fabric. It’s so soft.

…Because getting dressed (and living life) should feel good!

  1. I love Vivian’s look! I’m a full figured woman also. I would like to know what type of undergarment would you recommend to keep those “roles” intact?? I’ve tried numerous items but they all are so uncomfortable!! What do you suggest??

    1. Hi Laurie! Thank you!
For sure- I understand the struggle! I always focus on the fit of an item first. So I’m ok going up a size or two to make sure my clothes fit right and feel comfortable. No one will know the size on your clothing tag! Sometimes the cut of a top or dress just won’t work for me. I don’t buy those. I’m not wearing any shape wear with this romper.

When I do and want a smoother fit, I spend a bit more on my shape wear/undergarments. They can can make or break an outfit! I wear Spanx Higher Power Mid-Thigh Shaping Shorts. I have one in black and another in nude.
The other thing I make sure I do is have bras that fit properly. For that, I really like Wacoal. I get re-fitted every so often to make sure I have the right size. Both brands can be found at Nordstrom. Hope this helps!

  2. I love how you paired the striped one with a bright blue handbag!!
It makes it pop so much more!!

    1. Oh thanks so much Sonia! Thrilled to hear that you like it. Love having a little pop of color to keep things interesting.
