You can live somewhere your entire life and forget to enjoy it. My husband and I had been wanting to go to Downtown LA (DTLA) for awhile. We wanted to explore the old and the new. Since it’s summer and I’m off, we did just that!

And, that’s what we are Mixing Up in this post.

Having kids, work, and life makes it a challenge to go on day dates. Something that we would do when we dated.

The Spot: DTLA has evolved over the last couple of  decades. So many new places to see and old ones to rediscover.

The Plan: The spots we visited were recommendations from my friends and family. We wanted to get some a brunch vibe lunch and then explore the buildings and shops nearby.

The Outfit: This outfit was so comfortable and cool to be out and about. My Romper is from Target Who What Wear. I’m wearing a size XL and this sells for $32.99. It can be found here. I have the another one in a floral pattern that I also love. That was in a previous post here. My flats are also from Target and can be found here and sell for $24.99.

Here are the spots we visited:

  1. Egg Slut
  2. The Last Book Store
  3. Blue Bottle Coffee
  4. Bradbury Building
