Now that the Holidays are in the rear view mirror, it’s time for some color.

The cold weather and hot chocolate makes us want to stick to gray and black pieces. It’s nice to break out of the sea of gray and black with some color.

That’s what we are mixing up in this post.

I like the contrast of black & white stripes with a bold color, like this poppy red. Especially in the winter.

This top is actually a tunic from Target. I bought this Target Merona Tunic last year. Love it. I can wear it out, or, as I did in this picture, tucked in.

I paired it with a skirt that I just scored at the Loft. Final sale, $15.00, yes please! I can’t get over to Loft often. But when I do, I usually find something that I will be able to wear often.

I wear belts quite a bit to add structure to an outfit.

I added my trusty belt from Banana Republic to pull the outfit together. Then just grabbed my Target Merona clutch that I use a lot (it shows up in my other posts).

So don’t wait until Spring to bust out some color…

… Because getting dressed (and living life) should feel good!
